HR Generalist

Our Client is in the Environmental Sciences industry. We are seeking a HR Generalist in Bakersfield, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Provides input and advice regarding developing and aligning strategies and programs to achieve desired results.
• Provides support and guidance with a variety of human resources processes and programs such as search and selection, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, time and attendance, and termination.
• Ensure programs and processes comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on best practices and needed actions in the handling of human resources related issues. processes.
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results in established goals; provides recommendations for new processes, policies, approaches and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department.
• Provides consulting services to managers and supervisors regarding search and selection processes and procedures.
• Conducts job analysis to support sourcing efforts.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Assist and participate in HR projects as needed, including cross functional and business initiatives and compiles, evaluates and communicates information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Occasional travel required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required
• 4 or more years in a HR Generalist role
• Must have PHRca or SHRM California Employment Law Micro-Credential

• Proficiency in Excel, MSWord, and MS Outlook required.
• Demonstrated expert written and verbal communication skills and a proven capability to present complex concepts in a concise and understandable way to a variety of audiences, including the highest level of the enterprise.
• A strong aptitude for leading through influence, setting direction, and delivering results. Strong leadership, analytical, and written communication skills.
